They're safer because he pin is longer which means its more secure and you can visually see if the pins are engaged. No more feeler checks to verify if the pins are seated. The added bonus is the feature of locking the pins up when sliding the plates in place. I used blue loctite because I want them rock solid and i have no plans to remove them.
