    From my child who hated math...

    ...who now looks forwarding to reading her math books like a fiction book from the library. We've only just begun, but her enthusiasm is moving us quickly through the books to catch up to where she has left off with her other homeschool math curriculum. These books are a fun way to focus on understanding math and logic. The simple presentation is refreshing. Eliminating the drudgery of working dozens of repetitive problems has brought us to an oasis of learning. My 9-year-old daughter says, "Awesome with 1,020 exclamation points!" See--she is already using math in new, creative ways.

    Great series-Life of Fred

    Life of Fred is a fun spin on real life math examples. We used them in conjunction with the Teaching Textbook math books. My son enjoyed them so much, he asked me not to sell them so he could read them again. They are well worth the investment. If you have a child that really dislikes maths, I highly recommend this series. Regardless of the child’s age, grab a composition book and start from the beginning. Let them get comfortable and raise their confidence with the easy problems. Read the lessons with your child. Be involved!
