Excellent book!
I have the first edition of this book, the one that came with a cassette tape but i didn't have the tape and it was very easy to understand, in each step, so i wanted the upgrade with the cd. I'm glad i made the purchase because i have several other books which don't make learning as easy as this, John H. Dobson is a great teacher. Easy to understand; has CD to help with pronunciation
Instead of an alphabet to memorize, it shows a group of a few letters at a time, then there are combinations of 2 or 3 letters (which are not real Hebrew words) for practice in reading them. Each of these lessons takes a page or less, so it may seem like progress is slow at first. Before long, some actual Hebrew words with their meanings are included.
