Tape Head by Kings X
Not bad, but not great either, compared to their earlier stuff.
Seems like they are sticking to the basics with this one , instead of trying to find new ground and explore.
Still a really good kings X album.. but nothing new.
Ty Tabors solo work, "Rock Garden" and "Moonflower lane" seem to be more thought out and pushing ahead with creative and fun ideas than the current Kings X stuff..
This album has everything in it you’d expect from this group: heavy riffs, funky grooves, superb vocal melodies and harmonies, and cryptic lyrics.
If you love kings x, I highly recommend it. If you aren’t familiar with them, it’s a great introduction to them.
Another great project from this awesome band. Beatles-like harmonies over progressive rock compositions and fantastic musicianship. You will not be disappointed!
