And now at last the opportunity to hear what has led to Jet being one of the most talked about new bands on the planet... in short, they play a scorching brand of rock that celebrates the magic of tight jeans, tighter harmonies and loose morals. Recorded on the cheap in a friend's house in the band's hometown of Melbourne, Australia, the Dirty Sweep EP heralds the arrival of a genuinely gifted young band who place as much emphasis on melody and harmony as they do on blazing guitars. Originally released in a limited edition of 1,000 vinyl copies in Australia only, the Dirty Sweep EP sold out immediately. The band pressed another 1,000 with the same result- a testimony to the excitement that surrounded the four songs contained within. The band has won gushing praise from NME and the UK music press in general, for their songwriting smarts and live excellence. Their full-length debut album on Elektra is currently scheduled for September.
