    Parks and Recreation is a great modern workplace comedy series, another name would be more attractive.

    This is a great work place comedy series without the annoying canned laughter. I loved only a few series in the past, this one caught my attention by accident while cruising the channels one rainy day. I bought it to watch in my families vacation house as I don't have cable there, but I couldn't wait and I'm watching it everyday after work. Ron appears to be a dry hard nosed stick in the mud but he is one of the best, Tom is annoying but likeable, Rob Lowe is fantastic as an anul retentive good looking health freak whose sexuality is somewhat doubious, I'm sure he is hetero sexual, I'm 55 and heard of him in the past but never knew his work, he is fantastic as are the rest of the cast ALLOF THEM except the AHOLE John Rapheal. The characters are diverse but not overwhelmingly annoying I really recommend this series. I am not usually known for writing but felt compelled to try it on this one because I felt it deserved a great review from some one that works for a local government maintenance shop.

    Disappointed so far

    Purchased this on advice of my kids. They rave about it. Watched Season 1, half of season 2 and part of season 5. It's not grabbing me at all. There have been a few good episodes but disappointing overall so far.

    Aubry fan!

    I am a fan of Aubry Plaza mainly, but, i enjoy this kind of show bc its more outdoors too, than the office series is, so it keeps me interested. I can enjoy this kind of comedy without all the noisy sitcom music and canned laughter-so tedious anymore- kinda like Lucas/Spielburg using sooo much music drama from John Williams-that kind of addon drama, drives me batty. Their movies have plenty of excitement w/o the need, for all that SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA blasting in your ears!!! Nuff rant about that...quiet, introspective comedy of life, and quirks of just being a human being, is good enough.

    This is Parks & Recreation. What can I say? I love this show. The packaging is my favorite kind for a series. Each season is in its own case. I assume they're the same as if you bought them individually. All seasons fit in a sturdy, substantial box, open on one side. Plenty of extras. But, I especially appreciate that each and every episode has a load of deleted scenes. (In the first season anyway, which is as far as I am.) Some, but not all, of the episodes have commentaries. This are well worth listening to. All in all, a great deal!
