  • "Thumbs Up"

That's best quality of blu-ray is brand-new, It's not scratching on the disc surface. It's original appearance of best interest in action/drama movie. A film is making an aspect ratio, images and display an english subtitles by main menu on the screen. A blu-ray slipcover is making an excellent photograph and color. It based on a true story could be happened to stop selling narcotics is everywhere. It is number one.

  • This is the version to buy

This is the second "restoration" of this great film, both versions of which are said to be supervised by the director. Whereas the previous version was vehemently criticised for the desaturation of the colours, which we were told was intended to convey the impression of a documentary with all the rough edges intact, this later version has had all the colours restored and somewhat cleaned up so as to look more like a regular feature film. Although the argument in support of the more documentary style version is perfectly understandable in theory, I found that in practice that the later version is much more enjoyable on the eye. No need to describe the film itself, which by now has placed it in the pantheon of the all time great thrillers, except to say that if this is your kind of film, THIS is the version to buy: forget the previous desaturated version.

  • French connection is worth the upgrade to Blu-ray.

The French Connection looks so much better on Blu-ray, which is important with this film, because it is greedy, and shot at a time when New York had a messy, disheveled look about it, and film often did not look so good from this error unless it is “restored“. By way of example, think of the movie “taxi driver“, until they restored that film for Blu-ray, it was quite faded looking on VHS tape. Similar job on the French connection, recommended on Blu-ray
