Seller got it to me way earlier than listed, well wrapped up for the journey and it got to me as listed new perfect shape. Two other great points, the price was the best listed and I loved the movie. ( Extra awesome in Blu ray! )

    Interesting Victorian noir --- in color!

    In some ways this is a typical Gothic noir, sure to appeal to fans of JANE EYRE, GASLIGHT, and REBECCA. But it's in color! This doesn't diminish the film, and even makes it more accessible to young people who are put off by black and white movies. The technology to make motion pictures in color was available as early as the 1930s, but the process was expensive, so it was used sparingly until the 1960s. I can understand why studios would invest in color for epics like GONE WITH THE WIND, but FOOTSTEPS IN THE FOG takes place mostly indoors. The few outdoor scenes are at night, in the fog. The heroine, Lily, is a servant living alone with her employer, Stephen; there are no lavish balls and few fancy costumes. The studio could have saved its money as this film would have worked just as well ...
