    very nice radio for home, field or mobile use

    Radio covers 160 meter thru 70 cmHAM bands, transmit and receive. I'm mainly a CW guy, and the digital narrow filters are great.. from 50 to 500 cycles... they work fine. Radio has a built-in antenna tuner, draws only 2 ampson receive (if you're running on batteries that helps) has nice memory functions, allows you to set your transmit power levels, is compact, and would also do fine as a mobile rig. The display is a touch screen and is easy to read.

    Great mobile emergency radio.

    Excellent features in an all band amateur transceiver. Combination of excellent fusion II VHF and UHF capabilities with excellent HF band capabilities makes excellent small all around unit.

    I love this radio. The Band Scope is so handy when hunting DX. I'm told during contacts the audio quality is second to none. The radio is the perfect size if you want to use it mobile also. If you want a great radio with too many features to list the Yaesu FT-991A is the one to get.

    Awesome radio for the money

    Wonderful multi-band HF/VHF transceiver with most of the bells and whistles you need to operate in CW, SSB, and digital modes. I’m fairly new to the amateur radio scene, but this radio, pound for pound is tops in it price point. You can get more expensive radios that do a lot more, but do not have the VHF bands this radio has. This is as close as you can get to a “one size fits all” concept.

    Great radio its only been 2 weeks and I am still learning how to use it. the real time scope is great I didn't think it would be anything special but it really help finding more contacts. Time will tell how well it holds up but as of right now its awesome!
