Wrong, but, so right!
While, I had mistakingly ordered the 3.5", instead of the 2.5" version of this HD, I did return it hassle free and received the 2.5" high performance 1TB drive, which, is now installed and running Windows 10 perfectly. I have collected over the years, numerous Laptop Hard Drives either through upgrades or crashes. Out of 6, three are WDs, 1 Hitachi and two Toshiba Drives. ALL OF THE WDs, are all still working and in use as external HDs. I sold the Hitachi, which still was working. The two Toshiba's have the dubious distinction of being the two Laptop Crashes, that I have had. Easy to install with great features.
I bought this drive as an addition to my usual drive to add space. It is internally installed yet acts as an easy extension of my main drive much as a usb peripheral. It was extremely easy to install with the downloaded software in place before I actually attached it. It works flawlessly and has other nice features and software if one chooses to use. I did find the additional software were trials; however. I love Western Digital and trust it highly to outlast my system.I bought this drive as an addition to my usual drive to add space. Great Internal hard drive/ The Instructions were confused / I first created a backup image of my old hard drive/ Next I created a new repair disc/ I have Windows 10/ I installed the New WD Black Hard drive/ I used the new repair disc to access the image of the hard drive needed that was created as the image in the external hard drive / It was created in the backup before I installed the New WD Black Hard drive/ The old image in the backup in the external drive was accessed by the repair disc/ It took 20 minutes to access the backup image and use it in the new WD Black hard drive/ I installed the New WD Black Hard drive and in 20 minutes it had a good image needed to run the computer for the next few years/ Success// Access the image in the external hard drive and soon your ...
