I really enjoyed this game. Despite being rather buggy, a little repetitive, and a small step behind on graphics, I thought Redemption was a lot of fun. The story was interesting, and the way the world was presented made it easy to turn off all the lights and think that you're there. Unlike Bloodlines and the Hunter games, you get to control a 4-person coterie, which adds a fun dynamic to the whole experience. Overall it wasn't a particularly difficult game, but it does have it's moments where you'll need to reload and figure out what disciplines you want your party using their blood on. I think anyone who enjoys vampire games/literature/movies will probably have a lot of fun with this. Good luck and have fun.
I decided to purchase this game because I've played the sequel, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. I enjoyed that game very much and I wanted to see how well they did on the previous one. Redemption was made in the 90's so the graphics aren't up to par with what you see in games today. However, the storyline and RPG gameplay allows for fun times. Throughout the story you'll have the chance to meet up with other vampires that will help you along your quest. Your inventory is set up very similar to Diablo, where your your items will take up blocks of your inventory, depending on the item size. The game goes through two eras, Dark Ages and Current Age (which is 1999 in this game). It's fun to see your vampire from the dark ages have to learn the style of the current age. Throughout the game you will make your own decisions. It give you a chance to make your own choice of conversation during important conversations. I found this fun, but lacking, when compared to the newer game, Bloodlines. Overall, If you've enjoyed the sequel or you're just into vampires get this game. If you're looking for graphics that are up to par with today or its sequel, then don't buy this. I believe that Adam Sessler would give this game a THREE.....out of.... FIVE.Read full review
So this is what I spent several years of my life playing online in multi-player and it's a right nifty RP game if thats what your'e into. Multi-player on Won.net was more for the modders and hackers...no one plays online anymore except maybe on Ihatewon.net or in Lan parties. You have all the major clans of the Camarilla and Sabbat staying true to the White Wolf rp books. There are upgrade mods online (Within the Darkness aka WTD or Dark Path) for this that give you way more clans to choose from and lots more upgrades. The very best part is the customization of each map so you can build quests....sort of like building your own rpg. I have not played Bloodlines because there is no multi-player...and with the way the characters look it will just be full of the people who stand around cybering. DTS 4 LIFERead full review
I purchased this game because I so thoroughly enjoyed Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines (VTMB), and found the whole WOD setting fascinating. Overall I would give VTMR a B - the world is rich and interesting, but repetitive gameplay and level designs keep it from greatness. Two of the three endings are excellent, it is only a shame there is not a greater opportunity to choose good / evil / neutral early on.
From all over my life the game that I loved and really it story & action of it is no one ever win Vampire The Masquerade - Redemption. I like this game story because It's about a Love of Vampire that he want to save his love forever, no matter his love is, He is just like my Hero in the past when I was child, I like him, He's Christorf Romuald and His Lover is Anezka... Thank you for reading my review! Best regard, Slymth
