I was surprised just how good this wee radio was, the build quality is good, the audio clarity is brilliant & the distance you can drop a signal without a repeater is impressive considering it mainly works line of sight, it didn't take too long to get used to the controls, BUT if you want to program the channels or open it up from the standard frequency range you WILL need the data cable which is expensive for a bit of wire, but well worth it. Basically if your a Ham on a budget this is for you or if you want to be naughty & have a long distance PMR446 this will do the job perfectly

Not a bad radio for the price. It did seem better to program than the Baofeng UV5R. Similar layout to the Baofeng. Not too sure about whether the RF power output is as advertised though. Said to be 8 watts on FM and 7 on UHF. Simple to operate.
