I needed a solid handheld phone for very senior (90+) parents who could not handle a "little" cell phone. This wireless home phone came in handy. The devise has two outlets to attach wired phones (including chord less phones) to it. It has been surprisingly stable and the voice quality has been excellent. However in order for it to function well, you need to have very good wireless signals at home. Otherwise, your calls may get dropped just like cell phones. I connected this to my cell micro-tower which has improved the call quality and made the connection stable. Also, the devise does not get hot. If needed, I would buy it again.
