Original tuners for vintage Strats
The product is great, but I discovered that my 1994 Jap non-export '57 Strat issue is slightly different in many ways to the US ones, and the bushings in the headstock are slightly larger diameter than the american made ones. This means that the new head shafts sit at an angle in the bushings. Unfortunately a while ago I glued the bushings in and to get them out would do damage. Consequently I'll put up with the old ones and use the Klusons for a future purchase I think. It occurred to me that the Japanese ones of this vintage may be slightly different being that the country is metric rather than Imperial like the US.The product is great, but I discovered that my 1994 Jap non-export '57 Strat issue is slightly different in many ways to the US ones, and the bushings in the headstock are slightly larger diameter than the american made ones. Vintage style tuners
Quite good and keep tune. Fits my 1996 Tele custom from japan. Gear Case is slightly larger, just a bit. Only noticeable if looking hard. I replaced one tuner so can tell. Holes line up ok. Satisfied.

Do this upgrade if you do nothing else.
Perfect upgrade for most modern Teles and Strats made in USA or MIM but first, remove one of your original tuners and ensure it has the two stubby pin locating lugs that slot into the headstock.

Excellent quality tuners, they look great and provide much better tuning stability over non-locking tuners, also quicker to change strings. I personally prefer all short post tuners on my American strats (just like the current deluxe and elite models), so unfortunately I have to purchase two sets per guitar as Fender only offers a set of 3 long + 3 short tuners, and singles can be hard to source.Excellent quality tuners, they look great and provide much better tuning stability over non-locking tuners, also quicker to change strings.
