I liked it alot because of the advice on various type of investments like no load mutual funds real estate, and retirement. As well as the advice on why you shouldn't keep your credit card debit high etc. I've only read 189 pages, but i really am glad that I purchased it. It's a 2001 book, but some of the advice is still very usefull today too. The income tax stuff is sometimes not current. But the book explains things like asset allocation, kinds of debt, why you need an emergency fund, why you don't need cash value whole life insurance, etc. I would reccomend this book or any for dummies book oof recent vintage on Personal Finance. I wish I knew about this book years ago. A must read!!

I THINK ALL THE "FOR DUMMIES" BOOKS ARE PRETTY WELL DONE. THEY USE HUMOR TO HOLD YOUR ATTENTION. THIS BOOK IS ESPECIALLY GOOD FOR BEGINNERS I THINK. I'VE BEEN DOING THIS AWHILE BUT I ALSO READ SOME TIPS AND IDEAS I HADN'T THOUGHT OF OR HAD THOUGHT OF IN A DIFFERENT WAY. I'M ALWAYS LOOKING FOR GOOD IDEAS. THIS BOOK HAS SOME.
Good product and decent price.

I like the way the author convey the financial knowledge. I decided to buy it because I would like to learn about it to prepare for my master degree study.
