Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Save on Chainsaws
I purchased this electric chainsaw because I had a couple of very tall pine trees that had needle cast disease. It was too expensive to have them sprayed every year and there were some fir trees behind them that were not susceptible to the disease that were being robbed of sun light by these trees. The estimate to take these trees down was somewhere around $300. The saw was about a third of that cost. I read the reviews and the two big items were the chain falling off, the oiler not working with thicker chain saw oil and the chainsaw leaking oil after use when it was in storage. 1. Chain falling off: I found that when you first put the chain on, if it is not perfectly fitted it would in fact come off. However, once I got the chain installed properly it stayed on for the duration and it was in fact easy to keep the chain tensioned correctly with the automatic tensioner. Maybe this could have been easier but to be honest I find gas chainsaws require a lot more fiddling than this saw does so I did not see this as much of a problem. 2. Oiler finicky about oil: I purchased Husqvarna bar and chain oil. At first it seemed like it was not oiling the chain as it should so I called the manufacturer who said to run it a little longer and it should work. I did what they said and low and behold the oil flowed and never failed me thereafter. In other words I don't see any problem with the automatic oiler. 3. Leaking oil: After I used the saw I took it apart and cleaned it and then put the base in a oil pan I used to use when I changed my cars oil. After one day I had one drop of oil. Apparently this is not a problem with my saw. This saw worked flawlessly. It bit into the wood well and cut easily. We took down two 20 foot plus trees and cut them up in a little over an hour. I would recommend this chainsaw to anyone. It's a great convenient saw. BTW, no problem with the cord getting in the way. It was just a dream to use. I'm glad I got it. I saved myself a lot of money.Read full review

This chainsaw is very heavy. It's only good for the first cut, then when you want to do the 2nd cut, it'll suddenly lose the cutting power, the chain will run and run without any cutting power. You pull it out, check the tension, adjust it a little bit, check the oil, both look fine, but the 2nd cut won't go anywhere. I've tried several times to cut different trees, but the result were all the same, only the 1st cut working, the 2nd cut only resulted chainsaw kept running without any cutting, then it'll smoke from the cutting groove. I'm very disappointed with this chainsaw. It looks well-built, but nothing more.

This is a nice little chain saw, I've always used gas saws in the past but don't need that big saw in town. Works really well at tackling projects around the house. Has plenty of power to cut up those big logs. Not quite auto tension you have to turn the knob on the side but is super quick and easy.

Took it out the first day and cut some logs I had that were to long to split. Worked perfectly has good power to cut most anything I have on the property. Have used it several times since using a portable generator to power it and cutting logs that need trimmed to split.

Love everything about this saw except the chain length is not standard. Standard 18" chain is 62 drive teeth and this has 63. Other than that I love it. Works great has plenty of power for even a large hard wood tree.
