I have others in C J Sansom's Shardlake series bought new at that time which are in far better condition. It smells really musty too. Definitely not "very good" condition I think .

Good read if you like historical crime books. You need to read this authors books in order of publishing. Each one a different story but background theme goes through each in chronolical order.

Having read all of the Shardlake series, I must say that this is possibly the best one of the lot. It follows on from the events of the last book and introduces a brilliant character of the name Jack Barak who brings a lot of depth and character to the story. There's many twists and turns which you won't expect which gives an interesting take on history. Brilliant book. I'd highly recommend the Shardlake series if murder mystery is for you.Having read all of the Shardlake series, I must say that this is possibly the best one of the lot. It follows on from the events of the last book and introduces a brilliant character of the name Jack Barak who brings a lot of depth and character to the story.
