I have a bunch of m12 batteries but had never bought the drill because I was still using an old V18 drill. Figured it was time to change to just m12. I'm older and the jobs that I find that I do today are just not in need of the 18V. I already had the multitool (love it best new power tool in a decade as far as I am concerned), sawzall, drill driver, 14" hex impact, and a few more). I tried my son's m18 fuel drill and fuel impact quite a bit on a recent deck project. They are impressive, in fact I had "Tool Envy", but after thinking about it I just getting all m12 fuel sounded like enough. This drill, the hex impact and now this fuel drill fit the jobs I do just right.

Drill appears to be well-made. I tried drilling into brick and it would not hammer enough to do that. It drilled into the mortar just fine, didn't try concrete but I have doubts it would do the job. For light duty work it would be OK, I guess. Perhaps a better quality masonry bit would help it perform better. The price was good and the convenience of battery power made it a good buy.

I started out with an M12 drill to use in tight spots and for small projects. Now I have four drills, two drivers, a video scope, multimeter, flashlight... and the list goes on. This tool in particular is the new Fuel 1/2" hammer drill. I needed a 1/2" chuck for a 3/4" bit I bought. The new fuel motors work well and appear to use less power. They also appear to have a better cooling fan than older models because you feel a blast of air when you use it. These are great little drills that pack plenty of power. My house is made of stone, so I put these drills through heck drilling into the walls. Buy with confidence and check out the full line of tools. Once you get a few batteries and chargers you can save money buying just the bare tool. I really like this system.

Bought this drill in the hopes of getting a good allaround drill that's not too heavy, and it deliveres.. It has good battery life, very resonable power/strength for its size, has steel spindle and feels very durable and is light so I can use it hours on end. Overall very satisfied.

As far as I can tell this thing has all the performance of an M18 hammer drill and is lighter, of course I am running it on 6.0 batteries, but I find myself grabbing this drill more than my M18, mostly because it's lighter and because I still can't get over the amount of power it has!!
