iON Camera 1011L Air Pro Lite Wi-Fi is a new well-designed. well engineered. small camera that is great for action shots and underwater excursions. But it is not without some faults. The tube design stays closer to a helmet or if you mounted it on your wrist as you were swimming or diving and is easy to hold onto if you wish to use it that way The lens is relatively durable but it can be blasted by small particulates. possibly bugs as well and it will eventually affect the video quality. the inset on button is fantastic for quickly starting your filming and when you turn it off it goes to stand by for several minutes if that's what you have it set for. Battery life seems good, and I have not had any major glitches with any of them that I have owned The downside! Any setup changes you want to make. you have to make while connected to a computer or other device through the WiFi or the cord. if you want to change to 720 instead of 1080 you must connect it to a computer to make those changes. if you want burst mode you have to connect it to a computer as well. If you use the time lapse function, it saves the pictures individually and does not automatically make them something you can watch. I see no software included that would stitch those pictures together. So as far as I'm concerned it is worthless for time lapse. I guess you get what you pay for. I purchased all of mine for around $35 apiece and would almost consider them throwaway cameras in other words if they were damaged while filming something I would not be terribly upset if they were damaged beyond further use and I also do my most dangerous filming with this camera instead of something that costs more money. I love that they are waterproof and they are my go to camera if I'm going to be outside when it's going to be raining. I have not used them underwater at this time but intend to try that maybe this winter. The camera set up I bought had very limited accessories and I don't see that many of available online but it does have the quarter inch screw on the bottom so you can use a tripod or other go pro accessories if you already have them. The battery is built into the camera and cannot be replaced (as far as I know) so after this goes bad the camera will be worthless. The WiFi as far as I'm concerned is basically useless poor design poorer execution I have managed to get it to connect twice and as soon as the phone times out on the screen you lose the connection and have to start again The WiFi module or the waterproof back that comes with the camera is sometimes difficult to remove. And I see no lens replacements on eBay or anywhere else for this camera. just be careful of why you are buying it and what your intended use is. If the camera could be damaged with the filming you are doing or water may be present it is a great camera. Try a different camera if you're looking for a great easy to use WiFi, remote use, or great video quality. And if you want to change your camera settings frequently you may want to use something different as well.Read full review

Camera is lightweight and small. I have only tried it around my home since the attachments supplied won't position the camera on my motorcycle in a good position.I'm buying a flex stem so I can move it from behind the windshield. I like that I'm able to see the video I've taken on my phone when needed thru the wifi. When traveling that will be a great help.

Camera sized at 4" long, 1-1/2" W isn't really that small, having said that without LCD display, I don't know why this couldn't have battery that can last longer than 2 hours. But faced with bunch of cheap knock offs, GoPro, Countour, and Polaroid, I chose iON Air due to versatility and price. - It is already water proof to 30 ft no additional casing needed. - It can take picture while recording without stopping the motion, just press front on/off button. - It will record in two mode one HD(1080 or 720) and VGA mode, both video came out great with sound. In most cases, I view VGA mode and upload without problem. - Picture quality at 5 MP is good - 170 degree video is excellent range and quality great. Based on my research this one came out ahead with better pricing point and options. Because only way you can view the video/pic is via connecting to TV or PC it does become hassle so if possible get a connectivity kit ($69-109) that has WiFI Podz and bettery charger(this will add 2 more hours to the battery by charging on the go or use it to charge your dead phone:), although I saw many negative review on Wi-Fi Podz, once you do as instructed it worked great. Tested with both Android and iPhone, I had no problem viewing what I was taking pic/video of and viewing files in the camera.(few times live view did freezed over but then I didn't want to use it since it suck out battery like vampire.) Overall this is very good camera and solid (held up several wipe out on hard frozen slopes and few drops); overall with HD ion Air camera kit (with additional mount kits, 16 g microSD card, monopod, card reader) for $135 + Connection Kit(WiFi Podz & battery extender)$69 came out to $205. over $100 cheaper than GoPro or Countour.Read full review
Let's jump right in... VIDEO QUALITY: Good to Very Good. I'm impressed with the overall quality of the video and for the price, I don't think you will find anything close. The bottom line is that if you are new to action cans and want to get started inexpensively, I would definitely start here. Everyone wants to know how it compare to a gopro, so it seems. I had a gopro. Video was excellent, when it was working. Didn't have the gopro hero4 long and it quit functioning all together. For 400 bucks I expected more, so I went looking for a cheaper solution for mounting on my fishing kayak. This is not a gopro but the quality is close. You will get a little fish eye and the green leaves will turn whitish sometimes in full sun. All in all though after about 8 hrs. of video shot, I would buy again. The camera software is fine. It's not great but I really dont have any complaints at this price point and it gets the job done. Takes a minute to sync up with the Wi-Fi but it does work. Battery last for about 2hrs or so. You can hook up an external battery source like an Anker battery pack and record video giving you virtually all day recording as long as you have enough mini as cards. I use a 32 GB and have had no issues. For the price, you definitely aren't losing anything. I will probably buy another one in the near future. If you are planning on shooting video for YouTube this camera can be used to fulfill that role temporarily. Sound is okay not great. I say that because, a lot of YouTubers I watch use cameras that are very, very expensive. You aren't going to get that kind of quality but you can get started with thiRead full review

This is my first Action Camera, I am using it to document progress on training a wild Mustang horse. The pictures are extremely clear and the audio is incredible. If you buy one, don't overthink the set up process. It's easy, just plug it in to your computer to charge. Your computer will "find new hardware" and set up the files for you. That's it. Turn it on, slide the button forward and you're recording. When your done, plug it back into your computer and your files will be there under G files. I paid $33 for mine, and have no regrets. I tried to upload a picture, however, the add photos section only allows still shots, no video. But still, I am very pleased with this little camera.
