You know a phone is good when you scratch it and think to yourself... "maybe I'll get another one". This is the best phone I've ever used. This is not a phone for anyone that doesn't know Linux. I mean that for anyone living in North America. You must use developer mode and then the terminal in order to use the wifi hotspot. When I tried that for the first time I was truly frightened. Thank God for Google searching. That aside this is the best phone I have ever used. This phone is not for everyone though. If have a GSM micro sim car phone already, use facebook, twitter, social chats, email, and all those things then you'll love this phone. It's so easy to be on facebook and twitter and go to and from apps and programs is a breeze. when apps run in the background "THEY RUN in the background and you can lock the phone and continue were you left off or swipe away and go to another app if you like. If you've been using Symbian for years you'll love this phone. If you use iOS this isn't the phone for you. If you love android you might like this phone but you'll probably go back to android. I don't care about what Nokia did and will do with Meego. This is just a great phone I only with I had not scratched the screen like I did. You can do just about everything any other phone can do but some thing you gotta google search in order to figure out how to do it. Like I said it's not a phone for everyone in the USA or even the world but if you can handle it then you'll find it's the best phone you ever used day to day.Read full review
Beautiful OS makes this the most lovely interface to use, just so 'nice' in everything you do with it! Screen and unibody are gorgeous, call quality and sound is top notch and the camera is pretty good too. Love the on-screen information when phone is simply standing-by (suggest get the app Billboard to allow customisation of this as well). This handset shows what Nokia are capable of and how brilliant they can be - downside is, of course, the lack of ecosystem and range of apps compared to Apple or Android. If you want/need all those apps and things, don't get this. If you want exclusive, beautiful and oh-so-lovely-to-use, then consider this.
I prefer Nokia phones to others and had been looking for a new phone after having my E71 for 4 years with no problem. Nokia make quality phones and long lasting ones at that. I like all of the features especially the fact that I can program things on this phone. Great responsive touch screen, good weight, nice looking, good quality, and etc etc. Cannot think of any cons with this phone so far. Have had it for about a month now and love everything about it.
Why did I buy this product - because nokia n9 is the best phone with great design+friendly and light to usege OS+quality+low price for such high specifications! What I like and dislike about this product - I say so,that I like everything on this nice smartphone and dislike not this phone, but Nokia when they leave their "genius child",but We dont leave!!! How does this product compare to others - I start with this, that with this smartphone we can use not also native OS,but can also use Android OS in it - that is the power of Open Source! :)
i bought mine april 2013 having been a nokia fan for years.last phone was an n8 and bought a lumia 920 to replace it. the 920 was very good but massive and heavy so i returned it for a refund.then i discovered the n9's existence! dont be put off by the early reviews of 2011-12. its been updated twice since then and all the bugs fixed.if you want all the latest apps forget it but if you want an 'iphone'that accepts MS and flash files plus all social media, this phone is just brilliant.
