    Ordered 4 new columns, which all showed wear on wrench grooves indicating use, confirmed by split peaks in chromatograms for 2 of 4. The other 2 columns ok. I spent much time troubleshooting. Columns not new but used to various extents. I proposed seller refund me so that I pay the equivalent of 2 used columns according to the price of similar used columns on ebay. Waited over a week for seller reply. Seller tried negotiating, but eventually issued the requested refund when I stood firm.

    Unfortunately screenshot of correspondence with seller not clear. Key points: 2/4 columns bad, other 2 ok. Columns all used to different extents. I informed seller when I begin to suspect issue while still testing, but seller no reply until I ask for refund. Seller offered return all or keep for 20% refund. I offered to return the 2 bad, and I keep the 2 ok if seller refunds so that their price is in line with that of a similar used column available on ebay. Seller no reply for over a week.
