    repalces OEM flywheel key

    This flywheel key fit my Tecumseh H35 exactly as original. It is apparently made from aluminum or pot metal & is designed to be very soft and easily sheared so more expensive parts will survive a sudden deceleration of crankshaft. The key looks and works just like the original for less cost so I bought 3 of them to keep on hand because they are easily deformed. If the key becomes deformed (partially sheared) your engine timing will be off because magnets in flywheel will pass coil at a different moment than designed for efficient spark so engine will be hard to start or lack power. To illustrate how easily they are damaged - I tightened the flywheel nut only about half as tight as specified to make flywheel easier to remove from tapered shaft since the tighter the flywheel nut the ...

    Great deal

    I have a 1974 lawn mower with a 5 HP Tecumseh engine. Occasionally, if you hit something the flywheel key shears. I got 5 keys essentially for the price of one. That should be good for the next 45 years or so. Have to love those old tecumseh engines!!!
