    Yamaha HTR-5590 6.1 Channel

    I bought this to replace one of the same model that died after 15 years, so you already know I love it. The sound is fantastic, has plenty of inputs (including phono) and it's simple to operate. The only thing missing are HDMI inputs. Sorry you can't find these new.

    Yamaha HTR 5590 stereo/home theater receiver, still one of the best.

    Has held up well for a 13 yr. old stereo receiver. A good testimony to the quality of electrical engineering and manufacturing by Yamaha. I would put this receiver up against anything manufactured today. I was lucky to find one that wasn't abused and still in good condition. You have to shop very carefully when looking for used stereo components.. I bought this Yamaha HTR 5590 because I already owned one that I bought new in 2003 and have been very pleased with its continued good sound and reliability after 13 yrs. This one will be the cornerstone for a stereo component system that I am putting together for my son.

    Yamaha Power Punch Receiver

    This is the second Yamaha receiver I have purchased and have great confidence in this product line. Plenty of power and loaded with options, this unit provides a great value and excellent sound reproduction. Most consumers with average electronic experience will find this product easy to set up and operate. Model #5590 is a 6.1 channel receiver, not 5.1 as the listing indicates. Be sure to download the owners manual available on-line if your unit arrives without the manual.
