What really make this different from most others is that your camera's/lenses are not accessible from the outside while on your back to potential thieves. I had a previous top quality bag with pockets on the "outside" which were just slit open and a lens removed (in Brazil), impossible to tell in a crowd, until you go to use it. The 450 is for those carrying potentially £5/10,000 of equipment inside, 2 pro bodies and 5/6 lenses + accessories. I find it a bit on the large size for every day shooting, so also have the 350 AW, which I find perfect for carrying around all day and still hold all that I need. It's actually the depth of the bag that makes the most difference, eg you can have a battery grip attached to the body, and some lenses can be stood "upright". The 450AW is probably the best all round bag around at the moment, and I'm certainly seeing a lot of them. Just shop around for the best price because it seems to vary a lot. Read full review

I like the 'back opening' for accessibility and security. Depth of 'pockets' and flexibility for my configuration. Relatively lightweight - I have lighter fell running sacks that has limited padding and 'bruises' shoulders after a long day. This sack has a nice balance of weight to comfort ratio. Chest and waist belt- lightweight and practical for hill running/photography. Multiple pockets - still experimenting with optimal configuration.

This bag does not have as much space as it seems. When you pack 2 pro bodies and a 70–210 zoom there’s only room for 2 or 3 small lenses and a flash unit. There are, however, lots of storage areas for minor accessories.

I bought this bag with some trpidation - It's a lot of money for me. I needn't have worried, it is worth every penny. It's made from a strong, stiff canvas, well padded inside and the compartments are easily adjusted. The military style molle webbing covers the front and sides so there are many options for adding pouches and accessories from other shops. The bag comes with a pocket and 2 straps for holding a tripod and works very well, a utility pouch for odds and ends and a water bottle holder which is a bit on the small side but fine for a day out. Larger ones can be fitted easily. The waist belt and shoulder straps are very comfortable and the chest strap is adjustable vertically - useful if a lady wants to use the bag. The waist belt also has 2 small, zipped pockets for small items. Accessibility to the inside couldn't be better with a top hatch and 2 side flaps, allowing for access to 3 cameras. a ziptie is all that would be needed to lock the zips together if any of the openings are not required. Speaking of zips, the ones here are top quality and easy to use, also have a reinforced loop through each, making it easy to catch with a thumb. To access the side flap, just slip one arm out of a strap and the bag naturally slides around in front on it's side. The fourth opening is a large flap covering the entire back. Loading is very easy and the flap can also hold a 15" laptop and has lots of pockets for filters, notebooks, batteries etc. It can't be opened while being worn so it's secure. The top hatch is hardened and domed, giving good protection to the camera under it. It also has a small pocket for memory cards and a roomy pocket which makes use of the dome shape. I am planning to use this bag on holiday. It is perfectly sized to use as a carry on bag and since I'm only taking 2 cameras, 4 extra lenses and a MacBook, easily has room for chargers, a gorillapod and still plenty of room for travelling items. I can't recommend it highly enoughRead full review
