I don't know why these things come with an upper strip since it would be impossible to match them with the edge of the riser on the main part. Maybe I'm stupid, but I tossed out the strips. Putting on the main piece has to be done VERY carefully because you don't get a second chance. I didn't do a perfect job. Not sure if it was my fault, the car, or the sill.

Not yet installed, the item is as described. It is an obviously well made quality set of extra thick metal core, reusable, Small Block Chevy (SBC) valve cover gaskets.
