On Chesil Beach-The Start and End of a Beautiful Relationship
This thoughtful production lets itself down by going for a little too much detail in certain regards. It’s sad to see how inexperience combined with inappropriate relations (in this case the girl’s father) can ruin chances for a successful marriage. I’m sure this scenario has played out in many lives, ruining some that weren’t able to work through the challenges. It’s performed well and production values are quite OK, perhaps the subject matter (while important) might appeal to a specific adult audience. The final scene tells a story of its own.
