A must for the Electro Harmonix Synth-9, Mel-9 or B-9 units. Keep in mind most power blocks start at 9 vdc and loose voltage as more effects are added to the block causing an under volt condition- wreaks havoc on EHX Synth pedals that need a stable 9vdc constant current power supply. The EHX 9.6 vdc transformer starts with a .6 vdc higher voltage which helps stabilize the synth pedals better i.e. no false triggers or hung notes. Thanks cheers
