    As great as I remembered!

I first came across this book as a library page in the early 1990's. One of my counterparts mentioned how hilarious this book was, and it was! I think I read it every time it hit the "put away bin," which was often. Now that I have young children of my own some 30 (!) years later, this title popped into my head one night at bedtime, so I had to order 2. This book did not disappoint! The illustrations and text are vivid and wildly creative, and the author turns otherwise standard fairly tales into their own unique stories with unpredictable results. The effect is hilarious and fun. Plus, who can resist smiling when saying the title story, "the Stinky Cheese Man?" I'm smiling as I write it!

  • The stinkier the better!

If you have a child ages 6-10, try the Stinky Cheese Man! You won't be disappointed. The authors take standard fairy tales, rip them apart, turn them on their heads, and slap them back together in a mishmash that only barely makes sense, but proves hilarious. From the (very!) first page to the last, this book entertains. Enjoy a laugh or two with your kids at the expense of Henny Penny, Jack (from the Beanstalk) and the Stinky Cheese Man (No relation to the Gingerbread Man.).

  • Blast From Past! Love it

After stumbling across this old book I vaguely remembered when I was a kid, I went ahead and bought it and I quickly remembered how dum and funny this book was when I used to check it out from my school library. Great kids book. Super nostalgic. 10/10

  • The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales

My daughter is in fourth grade and came home from school and asked me to purchase this book for her. So I did she waited impatiently for about 4 days for it to arrive. As soon as she got it she yelled mom sit down so I can read this to you. She loved it she thought it was hillarious. I love anything that makes my daughter excited to read and this book did just that. This book is wonderful it takes classic fairytails and gives them a silly & somtimes stupid twist.

  • The Stinky Cheese Man

The book was my son's favorite book growing up. He is now 24 years old amd has a son of his own and wanted his son to love the book, too. His sister is 36 years old, and she had his copy of the bookshe reads to her three children and would not give it up. I needed to get him a copy of the book, and ebay was the perfect place to replace a childhood favorite, now everyone can live happily ever after. Thank you.
