    All going well

    I brought this for my 50ltr seahorse tank. I wanted something with gentle flow but with a great bio filter . I thought 1000ltr might be too strong but I have had to add a small power head to get enough flow. Great product so far as filtration is concerned.

    External canister filter

    I already have a larger canister filter that has the pump internal but needed a small one so bought 2 of these for my smaller tanks. They arrived yesterday and while I was setting them up I found that all the connecting parts are not real compatible with my tank which makes the water outlet coming back into the tank sit above the water line and is very noisy. I also find that the submerged pumps are quiet noisy as well. Will need to look at buying different fittings to suit my tank if I can buy them otherwise will need to improvise.

    Good for the price

    Works well once set up but assembly instructions are hard to follow. You will need to purchase extra filter media as the unit only comes with sponge filters. Probably ok for an indoor aquarium, but I'm using for an outdoor pond so have added noodles & carbon. These are available from most pet supply stores.
