My Favorite Robot
The ice maker in my old faithful Amana fridge finally gave out after about a million cubes, and I put off ideas of fixing it because I didn't know where to start, but it turned out that this ice maker kit is the standard replacement for numerous legacy fridges. This thing is plug and play. Remove three screws holding the old ice maker in place, unplug the simple wiring harness, fit it into the new unit, and reinstall with the same 3 screws. The one page instruction sheet details diagnostic procedures and adjustments if needed. 30 minutes of installation time and bingo, you can hear the happy sound of your ice cube robot dropping fresh cubes into the hopper. Incompatible with my Kenmore Pro refrigerator
The product did not work in my Kenmore Pro refrigerator, although advertised as it would. The product came without a wiring harness and did not fit the existing wiring harness. It simply was not compatible with my Kenmore Pro refrigerator.

consider ordering the power cord too. I have a Jenn Air refrigerator 5 years old. I got the ice maker and one end of my cord did not fit.
I had to because my Jenn Airre frig had a different connector. For the extra few bucks it can save you an extra week of waiting. The price of the ice maker is definitely a good deal. After getting the power cord that fits it works great. It has been 2 two weeks and it is cranking out the ice. A friend bought an ice maker from the local appliance parts store (he has the same fridge). He paid close to $100 bucks. The price I paid $38 bucks is a deal, just get the cord just in case.I had to because my Jenn Airre frig had a different connector. For the extra few bucks it can save you an extra week of waiting. Good replacement ice maker for Kenmore refrigerator
I bought this to replace the ice maker in my Kenmore refrigerator. The fridge is pushing twenty years and OEM number crossed to this brand and model. I compared it to original when I got. It matched almost exactly. The only modification that I made was to cut out notch for water inlet. It plugged into wiring and and mounted with no problem. I reused lower mounting bracket. After that, it started making ice and I have no problems. I hadn’t realized how loud the old ice maker was but this one is much quieter. Exactly as Expected
This ice maker fit perfectly into my Whirlpool freezer. It only took about 15 minutes to install and the instructions provided were very helpful. After a few weeks, it continues to work great. The only deficiency was for one aspect of the instructions. The bar that shuts off the ice maker when it gets too full was not in the necessary slot when it was received. This may have been intentional to reduce damage during shipping. It was easy to put it into the correct slot, but that should be included in the instructions.This ice maker fit perfectly into my Whirlpool freezer.
