  • Cuts grass like hot butter!

The blades are a bit pricey, but based on first cutting (large 3-acre tract with pretty hefty grass growing on it, some twigs, pine cones, etc.) these blades make short shrift of the mowing job. Extra benefit is mowing takes less time, since blades cut through much faster, wereas older, worn blades seem to just chew their way around the tract. A substantial benefit of these mulching blades is the small "footprint" of mown grass (smaller pieces of grass sift into the turf much better and are much less visible, and turn into usable natural fertilizer much faster than larger chunks made by non-mulching blades. The serrated upper blades of the Oregon blades seem to chop finer, hence better natural fertilizing, and you can practically forget about costly raking, hauling away, etc. Don't know ...

  • Thicker is better.

Best blades ever. I used these due to their thickness. So much better than the cheap thin blades. I had to grid the ends a bit due to them touching but they were for a John Deer not the Huskavarna which I bought them for. I recommend thick blades to anyone not licking the bendable blades.
