About this product

Product Information

Today's resurgence of the art of burlesque has crowned a queen: Dita Von Teese. Following in the tradition of legends like Bettie Page and Gypsy Rose Lee, Dita has led the burlesque asthetic of the '40s and '50s back into the sexual consciousness of the American public, and her thousands of cultish fans. In addition to her expertise as a classically styled burlesque performer, Dita is steeped in the history of fetish in American sexual culture. This book will combine her passion for burlesque and fetish in a lush four-color revival of 40s sexual glamour. Featuring Dita's Dos and Don'ts, The Art of the Tease provides Dita's provocative tips on everything from corsets to lipstick to black-seamed silk stockings--information that no woman should be without. Full of sexy, kinky, and playfully erotic photos of a provocatively clad Dita, this book will turn readers onto burlesque and fetish in new and titillating ways.

The purchased item is a vintage character drinking glass. It arrived promptly & safely packaged to avoid any damage. The item was exactly as described - used, vintage, but no scratches, chips or cracks! The glass itself is crystal clear & the character image is still brightly vivid with no signs of fading. This seller had great communication & it was a smooth & easy transaction. Reasonable price & fair shipping cost! Highly recommend seller & would gladly do business again in the future! A+++++

Customers return time after time to sellers like you, because you have it all: great products at fantastic prices, timely communication & shipping. All those qualities lead to top tier ratings! THANK YOU, once again, friend!! 💕 My observation is our world is upside down in chaos. Thankfully,  my trust is in the peace that comes from knowing the Lord's consistency.  Hebrews 13:8 in the New Testament promises: "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."  We can always trust him! 💕

  • Burlesque/Fetish and the Art of the Teese

I recently had the opportunity to read Dita Von Teese's double volume, Burlesque and the Art of the Teese/Fetish and the Art of the Teese by BRONWYN GARRITY, Dita Von Teese (2006). The photography is wonderful. I found her writing style to be less than professional, but her candor and honest approach shines, countering any shortcomings of literary skill. I was surprised that the publication was not specifically targeted for the men's erotica market, but is written to a large degree for woman who aspire to achieve a higher level of sexuality through the art of glamour. The book contains a fascinating history of burlesque, sexual fetish, makeup tips, clothing and a compilation of the past's most treasured beauty secrets. The world is full of beautiful women, but what makes Dita amd her ...

  • Art of Teese

Just finished reading Dita Von Teese's new book "Art of the Teese" which is a flip book with one half devoted to Fetish and the other to Burlesque. I think this is a must have for all you modern day Betty's out there who wish to emulate her style. Ms. Teese offers many vintage beauty secrets of her own and from the 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's. The book has a bit of autobiography as well as history. It is definitely more focused towards women but shares some beautiful pictorials for us men. I can truely appreciate and bask in the beauty of a woman like Dita who in return can honor my fetishes.

  • Dita does a Great Job and tons of Pictures

The beautiful sexy and incredibly knowledgeable Dita Von Teese fills her book with humor, insight, history and most important tons of pictures. I loved everything about this book. Got a second copy so I could tear out the many fabulously sexy photos and hang them on my walls. I met Dita in person once at a Glamourcon- she's a tiny little thing. And she was the nice most geniune person at the conceference. Not only a performer but a student, teacher, enthusiastic fan of burlesque and fetish ten stars **********

  • Worth it just for the pictures.

I bought this book solely for the pictures. They are absolutely gorgeous. The writing contains some history on both burlesque and fetish and is interesting at parts, but I found her style rather pretentious and the information poorly organized. No matter! I did not buy the book for her writing, and so there is no dissapointment there. If you love Dita, then you will love this book.
