I thought it was a cool idea for a product that might help develop some consistency with my angles while sharpening, as well as just tinker with some different ones. It's smaller than I expected but I think that helps. Sharp, easy to read design. No more expensive than it is, what do you have to lose? Good seller and good experience. Thanks.

It's a bit difficult to tell exactly what angle it's set for. There are detents that I think are at each degree, but it's hard to feel them over the other friction. So it's hard to tell if it's at 16 vs 17 degrees. But then again, who cares about that small of a difference? But using this pointed out how terrible I was at holding at angle and guessing where 17 degrees was. The end result is sharper kniv
