        Custom install from factory single unit to aftermarket double din unit for a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2004

        2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee install. Kit Quality (Metra) is great. There were clear instructions even on how to modify the dash to get the double din unit into my Jeep Grand Cherokee. There was quite a bit of modification needed but nothing that a hand patient person could do if they took their time. I had to use a dremel to cut out some of the factory dash internals at the stereo location. Note after this mod you can't go back to factory system. I like how the kit came with the harness and the dash kit and required antenna cable converter. Made the job much easier. Except in my case the previous owner ruined some of the factory wiring so I had to get a factory radio harness from a junk yard, heat shrink and solder that before using this wiring harness adaptor. I could have hardwired the unit ...

        it was cheaper then the others and it fit the dash really nice , my radio was a tad bit wider then the bezel but after trimming it a bit , it still looked good
