What I found when I opened it up.. READ BEFORE ORDERING PARTS..
I purchased the drum bearing, belt and Jockey Pulley idler kit for our top loading dryer. The dryer is about 10 years old and the main bearing was starting to squeak. It needed replacing however the jockey pulley was like new so I really didn't need to replace it or the belt. I had ordered both so when I took the dryer apart I could replace the major moving parts and be done with it. Be aware that the jockey pulley does not take any where near the wear that the main drum bearing does and as a result would probably only need replacing every 20 years or not ever depending on your replacement cycle for such appliances. I have a spare heating element and now a spare belt and jockey pulley set. The main bearing is the weak link in the chain and is easy to replace if you just take you time ... Hint, when replacing the belt, the YouTube video's tell you to put the belt around the drum and then work it around the idler pulley and drive motor point. I couldn't get that to work as the belt is fairly tight. As a result I recommend doing what I did, put the belt into the Jockey pulley first and then put it around the drum and rotate the drum to get it engaged and in place. Much easier and it works just great.
