I bought an Apple Watch and when it came in it had an activation lock on it. I contacted the seller and it took a few days for them to get back to me. They said that they didn’t recognize the Apple ID and then that it was connected to their spouses account. They tried to remove the lock but were unable. They offered to let me keep it for parts but I decided to return it. When I sent it back USPS was unable to deliver it and I eventually had to contact eBay to get a refund after nearly a month.
