It simplifies things
I am a man that is clumsy at best with anything dough or stuffing and sealing. My mom made sure I had a dough recipe that was infallible. I learned to roll the right thickness by using a gap gauge (from my toolbox) but still I was terrible at filling and sealing them. My best, 2 out of 3 would survive boiling. I don’t know why it was. Since I got this gadget, pirogies coming apart during boiling is a think from the past and it is much faster. I know purists may not agree and I understand because in certain areas I am also a purists. This mean I have become a master at doing some things and don’t need shortcuts. But for the things I failed to master and still want to do then I use all the help I can get.
