Kite Liberator (2008, DVD)
Kite Liberator is a sequel to the hailed classic "Kite". In this film Sawa is not the lead character. A new character is brought to the fore. Throughout this move the new female lead movie shifts from innocent, geeky school girl to a dark vigilante killer. Her motivation for the killings is to end the lives of criminals that have gone free of punishment. For those that enjoyed Kite, this may actually be a let-down. The atmosphere isn't as deep, nor is it as depressing. Less empathy is felt for the main character even though she does have what seems to be a rather lonely and uninviting life... absent of parental care. The elements of violence, language, and gore have also been toned down from its origins. While this serves to better interest fans of more popular anime, it doesn't seem to ... I watched this movie and it's pre-sequel movie, KITE. Both was excellent, highly-recommended. I wanted to simply have it for myself or my future generations to watch few years from now.

what happened to some of the sceans...most of them were cut off...im a grown man i want to see all the other sceans
