The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a classic American story and, in this case, one of the movies. Unfortunately, one of the epinions reviews seems to credit this particular version as the one with Johnny Depp - which it isn't. This particular version follows the story closer and is more accurate. It's really a better story and more enjoyable. The music score was good but the script was excellent, definately worth seeing. Look at the credits closely if you're into trivia and see if you note an unusual listing - you'll probably miss it the first time but then do a double take. Please note that this DVD is the 2003 issue. I'd think school age children can view this, but a parent should make the final decision. This review is written based on the movie only. This is a good movie, it tells the story of sleepy hollow in a unique way. It's ending was surprising to me since I've only ever seen the Johnny Depp version. It's worth watching.

Better than most and sticks to the original story version. Loved the characters, scenery and storyline. Ichabod and the other characters in the story are engaging, entertaining and true to life for the time period. The movie also adds just the right amount of horror to keep you on edge with a bit of a twist here and there. One of my favorite Halloween go-to movies!

Isn't Sleepy Hollow in New York? Why does everyone insist on filming things everywhere but where they're supposed to be? Don't get me wrong, the acting was good, and the story fun. Shooting in Canada in what looked to be more like the spring than the autumn turned me off. It wasn't terrible or anything but it could have been a bit more upstate, fall, New York-ish...
