  • Entertaining and Thorough

The authors use humor and wit to write about fascinating subjects that otherwise might bore or confuse the reader. I was amazed at how many times their topics really did jog my memory of a high school or college lesson long ago. Obviously, some of the topics will be more entertaining to each individual than others (I have a graduate degree in History and I just can't seem to wrap my head around the Economics chapter, so I eventually skipped ahead). But overall, great bedtime reading- I got through a chapter every couple of days and by the end I felt like a much more enlightened individual. One caveat: the book is old (20 years I think?)... some of the information is dated and/or limited.

  • Oldie But Goodie

Okay. It's kind of old, so some information is dated. But only SOME. The stuff you'd like to be able to talk about at parties or want to use to avoid the impression that you're poor old education was stunted is plenty old enough to be there. The authors take a sassy, slightly irreverent but entertaining approach. So, you not only get the facts; you get an attitude that you can adopt to sound even more sophisticated. Even those who acquired their knowledge by reading the same book will be unlikely to give you away. They won't be quite sure you got it on the sly as they did and will be grateful someone else accepts their wit. What you can be assured is that it's not really trivia. It's really what an educated person should know. So use the knowledge in moderation to avoid looking like a rube ...

  • An Incomplete Education by Judy Jones, William Wilson

This is a great book. I actually bought it as a gift but had a good time looking through it before I gave it away. This book "An Imcomplete Education" is full of wonderful obscure facts and would be great for any trivia buff.

  • Great for toilet top trivia.

Keep it in your bathroom, then challenge your friends as re-enter the room. Seriously this book is loaded, and I am myself a pop culture guru. This has lots of great facts/comparisons and bring a smile to your face trivia. Well worth the read.
