Simply amazing!
When I first got it these headphones, I was at worked and tried them out with my phone... the sound was clean and accurate but I was disappointed... I didn't get the wow affect that I was hoping for... Later when I got home, I tried them out with my computer (having a high quality creative sound card with amplifier).... I shed some tears.... it was beautiful! My points are two: 1. These are some great headphones 2. General: Nice headphones, comfortable, nice padding, I cannot tell the difference between the X2 and the X2HR. May be I am not good enough. If you have X2, no need to update. There is no upgrade. Pos: Good sound stage. Nice sound quality for the money which cannot complain. Cons: Philips should not fold the cable. Curl the cable will be a better way to do it. Did not mention the recommended direction of the cable. Did not come with storage box or bag. Philips Fidelio X2HR bargain!
I’ve had a lot of headphones over the years including some that cost north of $1000.00 and these X2HR cans are right up there with the best. Now don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of headphones out there that are better but for $220.00 delivered you simply can’t beat them. A word of caution. They are open backed headphones so they are ideal for listening to music at home in a quiet environment but don’t buy them if you are looking for isolation from your environment.
