Spend a bit extra and feel the quality!
If all that is required is a simple 'on/off lamp', then this is a good cost effective item. The light is more towards daylight than towards a warm glow, so don't expect any subtlety in your ambience. The real disappointment is when using it with a dimmer. I have tried it with three different good quality dimmers and it simply does not work well. I have six of these bulbs and they all flicker. I have to fiddle around with the dimmer knob to find a level at which there is a steady output and sometimes that is not at the light level I want. Compared with the Philips led version, these are a failure. The Philips work on all my dimmers, give a more friendly light output but are a bit dearer.
