Works to record heart rhythm exactly as advertised, and is way cheaper than any watch system. As a cardiologist, it will be extremely useful to help patients get sometimes elusive recordings of their occasional, but sometimes very important, abnormal heart rhythms or "palpitations. Great value, and good quality.

    ECG on the go.

    This is a great product as it allows the user to do an ECG anywhere, anytime, and it can be saved to show the medical people if there is a cardiac event that is causing health problems. Sometimes holter monitors-which are cumbersome and annoying to wear-do not always pick up cardiac events. The Alivecor is non invasive, easy to carry and operate, and you don't have to wear it.

    Limited value

    It didn't work with my smartphone. When I asked KardiaMobile why it didn't work they responded by saying that the mobile I have hasn't been tested. It works on my wife's phone so somewhat inconvenient. As for the trace well it's not very clear along the baseline what is noise and what is actual electrical heart activity. Any diagnosis it comes up with has to be taken with a a few grains of salt.

    Does the job

    The device works fine, what's frustrating is how features, such as cloud storage and emailing the doctor with results are only available with an addional monthly fee, that and the constant reminders to sign up.
