Blade
The Marvel comics character Blade springs to life as Wesley Snipes becomes the half man, half vampire who can stalk and destroy the evil minions of darkness even in daylight. The daywalker, Blade, aided by fantastic gear and gadgets, great special effects, terrific martial arts and fight coreography as well as a solid soundtrack of electronic music, tries his best to rid the world of the vampires. One Bad a@@ vampire flick
Wesley Snipes as the part-vampire, part-human, all-action star in this, the first of the Blade trilogy movies. I feel it is the better of them, as is usually the case in trilogies. Do not expect amazing writing, nor plot, nor subtleties, but do expect a good movie to sit back and enjoy with friends. Plenty of action and gore, and it moves along quite well. There is little time spent on erroneous aspects; almost everything is quick and moves the story along, as well as to the next fight scene. About an hour and a half, and it'll fly by, as it wraps you in, and makes you want just one more fight sequence. Good shoot-'em up/stab-'em up and for the price, as it's been out for a while, totally worth it. Keep in mind that it is older, so not amazing CGI or special effects, but still, good ... Blade's mother was bitten by a vampire during her pregnancy, which passed a variety of vampiric powers on to her son. Blade benefited from the best attributes of both vampires and humans, and grew up to be a vampire hunter in order to avenge the death of his mother. He is aided by Adam Whistler (Kris Kristofferson), who provides him with a range of high-tech solutions. A fine combination of action, science fiction and horror, 'Blade' is one of the best comic book adaptations to date. The film provides plenty of action and effects, fights and blood. A great start to the Blade trilogy.
This is a wonderfully action packed horror movie with an interesting story. I purchased this movie when it was first released, and somehow misplaced it. I realized this was definitly a movie to have in my collection. Starring Wesley Snipes as lead character and a great group of supporting characters, this movie is great to watch and in some parts a bit scary.
