Very good value, but make sure you buy the genuine EMI release.
What you get here are the Mono Tracks 1-16 (Track 16 "Quatermasster's Stores" is an extra not on the original album, likewise track 32). Track 17-32 are the Stereo versions. I prefer the Mono Tracks, and they were the reason I purchased them. The audio quality is very good, better than many other "remastered" albums out there. Be aware there are other CDs with the same cover out there, but not so good audio wise, so make sure you buy the genuine EMI release CD.What you get here are the Mono Tracks 1-16 (Track 16 "Quatermasster's Stores" is an extra not on the original album, likewise track 32). Guitar nostalgia
Bought for my dad as this is one of the first LPs we ever possessed when we had a 'radiogram'. Classic guitar tracks from when The Shadows were groundbreaking. It's a shame they turned into a 'easy listening' band later, just doing cheesy covers. Full original mono tracks along with the stereo versions (what's the point of that?).

The Shads at their very best.
You have the choice of listening to the tracks in their original mono format or a repeat of the same tracks in remastered stereo. Either way, the sound quality is very good. Put it this way, they sound much better than when I played the Shads LP on my BSR 'Groove Grinder' all those years ago! If you were there when the Shads were in their prime, then this is the CD for you! Pure nostalgia!

Impossible to Dislike
In the early 60s, The Shadows and their instrumental rock were kings. Then as now, disliking those glorious guitars is an impossibility! Don't believe me? Checkout "Apache" for example. No text. Brief liner notes include comments on all songs. The sixteen hits from '60-'62 are presented chronologically in both mono and stereo.
