Stronger than the curved type but . . .
More efficient, more power than the curved style. The string feed works great too, much improved over the stock one. Only gripe is it spins backwards (CCW) and blows the debris in your face instead of away from you..

Super easy to load, well-made.
I bought this trimmer slightly used but in perfect shape. I really like the easy loading feature, you just push the line through from one side to the other without having to take anything apart. You turn the knob and it winds up the line on the spool. Seems very sturdy and well-made.
