    Terrific set for the modern Dr. Who fan

    For the modern-version Dr Who fan this is a terrific set. It is missing a few specials related to the 50th anniversary, but it has almost all the Christmas specials. This set also includes all the special features from each series - note that the separate set of the Eccleston/Tennant years is missing those features. All in all a terrific buy, and I'm very glad to have it.

    Good doctor who, but too repetitive overall

    it is still doctor who with a lot of fun and quite entertaining, but it is a bit less original than the previous seasons, too repetitive in the story line. The character are changing, but it is basically a battle between the good and the monsters, with no much twist overall. I am afraid to continue purchasing the next seasons.

    End of an era (good and bad...)

    I've got to say, I really enjoy Peter Capaldi as the Doctor. I just feel like the writing this season wasn't up to par...it kind of exemplifies everything I dislike about Steven Moffatt as showrunner for Dr. Who (he writes great episodes, has been the pen behind some of my favorites...but I don't like his over-arching plotlines.) I'm glad I got it, because there are some great moments in this season...I feel like Bill was a great shift in the stereotype of the Companion character, and there were some really thought-provoking points throughout the season. But, by the time the final episode was done, I was left feeling kind of flat...like, Moffatt rehashed plotlines that had been done better before, and then did what he always does...dialed the situation up to 'Beyond Impossible' and came ...

    A Great Season Worth Watching Again

    The Doctor at his finest. To me, Capaldi is the ultimate Doctor. In this, his final season, his embodiment of the character has matured to perfection. He is no longer the insecure regeneration of his first few episodes, always asking and worrying as to whether he is a "good man". The companion for this season is the amazing Bill Potts, played by Pearl Mackie. Potts is unabashedly lesbian, and her lively character is a refreshing break from the quasi-romantic, unattainable love quest that ran through the years of Clara Oswald, Amelia Pond, and Rose Tyler. Between the fantastic Bill Potts, and the masterful evolution of the Doctor, this stands as my favorite season of the reboot years.

    Peter Capaldi continues to be entertaining!

    Another great series but not as dramatic as some other seasons. New companion Bill is a good strong character & great actress but not as entertaining as some prior companions. She definitely holds up to the quality of the show.
