Spendy, but worth it
I made the decision to sell off most of my EF glass (24-70, 50, 35, 45). SO worth it. Images are tack sharp throughout the zoom range. Bokeh is nice, not ultra buttery but pleasing none the less. Focus speed is unreal in well let environments. Most complaints are about the size, weight and balance on the body. Well it'll replace most of your glass in that range, so you'll have more space in your bag. It is quite heavy, I'm a bigger guy, so I don't mind much. The best lens! One of a kind!
This is first and foremost Canon saying "Look what we can do!" Because this lens is the only zoom lens with aperture of f2. This lens is also HUGE! like with a capital H. One it has a 95mm diameter front lens and it is kinda heavy but nothing too terrible. It is also an L lens so you know it will be expensive. But the photos out of it are amazing!
