First time ever using this type of drum machine. pretty excellent piece of gear for its size. A whole lot more than I'll probably ever use, but room for a lot of growth for me. Took me a bit to figure it out how to operate it, but the instruction manual is pretty decent, again, just a lot this can do, so can be overwhelming. So far so good though. Glad I bought it.

It works as expected - however, the LCD backlight does not work making it difficult to see what you doing when it comes to extensive programming. I bought one earlier from another web site which also has the same issue. I was hoping the LCD Backlight would work on this one - I am very disappointed with respect to that issue. However, the drum machine performs as it should. I owned one of the first when they came out years ago but sold it when the DR 880 came out

This item was purchased to replace one that stopped functioning. I have used a Dr. 670 for my trio for nearly 20 years. This one is the fifth I’ve purchased and will be used in my studio as well as serving as a backup to the one I gig with. I have had little problems finding a beat that works for the songs I perform. I’ve been able to program drum tracks for odd tempo (5/4;7/4;6/8 etc.) songs as well. All the tracks sound great thru my PA and it has helped me to improve my sense of timing far more than a simple metronome. Wish they were still being made.
