    Ingenious product

    I bought these Deadbolt banana plugs by Sewell Direct to replace crimp-on banana plugs that were initially installed in my home theater system. The plugs are very well made and they dramatically increase the contact of the speaker wire to the plug. The design is very ingenious and is actually quite simple to install. Other designs mimic the Deadbolts but do not have as much wire-to-plug contact. Other users have complained about not being able to tighten the plug securely during construction but they likely left the exposed portion of the speaker wire too long or they didn't consider using a pair of pliers to fully the tighten the screw connector of the plug. Once the plugs are tightened, they are rock-solid, that is, they are like a locked deadbolt! They fit very securely in the ...

    Work great easy to use.

    Sewell "Deadbolt Banana Plugs" make speaker and receiver/amp hookup and moving so smooth I don't know how I setup my home theaters in the past with speaker wire you had to poke through the hole in the speaker terminal. What a pain that was! I recommend these "Banana plugs" for anyone that has a stereo that uses speaker wire.

    Best Banana Plug Ever for the Price

    After trying the cheaper version of the banana plug, which were virtually useless as they would not hold the wire in place, this well-designed plug is terrific: easy to install the wire, holds the wire tightly, and the design is excellent.
